Formed in 1993 by eight of the nation’s top women chefs and restaurateurs, WCR has since grown to a membership of thousands of women, offering a variety of networking, professional and support opportunities. Becoming a member of WCR puts you shoulder to shoulder with some of the worlds top Chefs, Sommeliers, Restaurateurs, Manufacturers, Farmers and Industry Executives. WCR Membership is an incredible resource for connecting with inspiring women in all areas of the culinary world.
Today, WCR membership ranges from culinary students, line cooks, pastry chefs, and executive chefs to educators, food writers, media professionals, culinary consultants, wine experts and many more who have a passion for supporting the women in the culinary industry.

As one of the founders of WCR, I am extremely proud of how far the organization has come and the important role it plays for professional women in our industry. WCR is an organization that focuses on education and the promotion, enhancement and advancement of women in the culinary world. It is an organization with a strong network of support that emphasizes the sharing of ideas to help stimulate growth of women in the culinary field.
Education, confidence and hard work is the key to success in any industry but when coupled with a membership to an organization such as WCR, the road to success can be much more defined.

Learn with Scholarships and Mentors
The WCR Scholarship program was built to encourage, guide and grow individuals on both personal and professional levels. Seasoned culinary experts offer their expertise and wisdom to our members through mentorship programs. These scholarships are only open to members, and professional and corporate members have no registration fees.
Join Us for the Annual Conference
Each year, we hold an annual conference in a new, notable city. These conferences are filled with master classes, culinary competitions, keynote speakers, networking receptions and exclusive on-site tours. We focus on showcasing local talent in the chosen location in order to expand our knowledge of the women in this advancing industry. WCR members and non-members alike are invited to attend these events.
Discounted registration fees are available for WCR members.

We recognize outstanding contributions in community affairs and honoring women whose contributions in community or civic affairs have made a strong impact on the lives of others.
I consider the WCR potentially one of the most significant organizations in the Culinary and Hospitality world.The structure and activities of the group has traditionally supported members through networking, recognition of accomplishments and careers, and relationships forged at their Annual National Conference.
